IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to the end of the Public Health Emergency and following a directive from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, effective May 1, 2023, the following changes will occur with regard to how we provide services.  Our goal and mission are to provide the best quality services that we can, and we are here to assist you with any challenges you may face with these changes.

  • In-person visits are the preferred method of providing services.

  • Telehealth video is still an option for services, and we will assist you with this if needed.

  • Telephone/audio only services can no longer be provided.

  • In order to continue with your medications, you must meet with your prescriber in person at least once every 3 months.


Please see your therapist and/or case manager with any questions or concerns.

Chris O'Droski held a discussion panel alongside Judge Greg Clinton, Judge Breeda O'Leary, Professor Lauren Rousseau, and Representative Laurie Pohutsky. In this episode, we learned about how laws and policies affect people facing addiction and how lawmakers' perspectives on addictions have changed over time due to substance use prevention services.

October is Depression and Mental Health Awareness and Screening Month. Hegira Health Director of Clinical Development Andrea Rodgers spoke to WXYZ Detroit reporter Kiara Hay about the difference between sadness and depression, and when you may need to seek professional help. 

In honor of National Addiction Treatment Week (Oct. 16-22), Hegira Health Clinical Supervisor Crystal Dussia LMSW, CAADC, CCS-DP, spoke to WXYZ-TV Channel 7 anchor Keenan Smith about addiction recovery, and what you can do if you or someone you care about needs help battling this disease. Recovery is possible.

Hegira Health’s Director of Clinical Development Andrea Rodgers spoke to WDIV Local 4 / ClickOnDetroit anchor Priya Mann about the importance of ending the stigma of seeking care for mental health. Depression affects 11 million Americans, however two-thirds of them are not seeking treatment that can help. Caring for our mental health is just as important as caring for our physical health.
