Prevention Center

Early drug and underage alcohol use can lead to lifelong problems for children and families of all economic and cultural backgrounds.

Prevention Center programs utilize researched curriculum to promote the development of healthy lifestyles in children, adolescents, and families. Prevention programming is designed to address current stressors facing our Youth and limit risk factors that can lead to adolescents’ experimentation with alcohol and other drugs.  Some risk factors for substance abuse include:  violent and delinquent behaviors, economic disadvantage, family substance use and history, academic failure, social acceptance and media representation.
